Draft pending legal review

Everyone should be able to explore this website, read about our work, and request a consultation without running into barriers. This statement describes what we built, the standard we're aiming for, and how to tell us when something doesn't work for you. This document is pending review by a qualified legal professional before launch.

Our Target Is WCAG 2.2 Level AA

We designed and built this site toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the most widely used benchmark for web accessibility.

Working toward a standard isn't the same as meeting every criterion. We don't claim full conformance, and we have not yet published the results of an independent accessibility audit.

Structure and Keyboard Navigation

Pages use semantic HTML: proper landmarks for the header, navigation, main content, and footer, and headings in a logical order so screen reader users can move through a page by section.

Every link, menu, and form control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. A visible focus indicator shows where you are on the page at all times.

Motion, Images, and Color

The site uses restrained animation. If your device is set to reduce motion, the site respects that preference and removes or minimizes transitions and scroll effects.

Informative images carry text alternatives that describe what they show. Purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they don't add noise.

Text and interface colors were chosen with the WCAG AA contrast ratios as the target: 4.5 to 1 for normal text and 3 to 1 for large text and key interface elements.

A Consultation Form With Clear Labels

Every field in the consultation form has a visible, programmatically associated label, so screen readers announce what each field is for.

Where We Know There's More to Do

A short text alternative can describe a kitchen photograph but can't capture every nuance of a stone's veining or a timber's grain. If you'd like a fuller description of any image, ask and we'll describe it.

Tell Us What Isn't Working

If you hit a barrier anywhere on this site, please let us know using the contact details on our Contact page. It helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.

We'll use your feedback to find and fix problems. And if the form itself is the barrier, those same contact details are another way to reach us about your project.
